The Cardiff Comedy Festival started in 2009 and has played host to some of the biggest names in Comedy; Rhod Gilbert, Lucy Porter, Ardal O’Hanlon, Craig Campbell, Richard Herring, Omid Djalili & Russell Kane to name but a few.
Each year we have previews from the likes of Mark Little. Lucy Porter, Nick Helm, Richard Herring & Patrick Monahon to name but a few. A series of local gigs are involved with previews from big names in various venues across town.
As with every year we run youth stand-up workshops in conjuction with Cardiff Central Library. 4 All day sessions for free ending up in a gig to see how the new talent has progressed.
The WUSA draws to an exciting climax with the final heat and the live draw for the semi’s. The semi’s will be held at Chapter and the final at the Glee Club, the sponsors of the Competition.
Everything draws to a tumultuous climax at the Wales Millennium Centre with a comedy superstar headlining our Grand Gala Finale. This bill also features a lineup of 6 international star comics supported proudly by the WUSA Winner.
